Hamburg-Germany based Körber Supply Chain has inked a partnership with Orlando-Florida based robotics specialist Fetch Robotics. Under the terms of the agreement, Körber will act as a global reseller, advisor and integrator of Fetch’s autonomous mobile robots (AMR) solutions and cloud robotics software. This deal brings together Fetch’s range of robots (100 kg to 1,500 kg of capacity) with Körber’s solutions – among which are Aberle, inconso, HighJump, Voiteq and many others – and expertise, including 1,300 in-house professionals and nearly 100 strategic partners across the globe. This should assure customers and prospects that AMRs are integrated with a sound supply chain strategy, working in tandem with new and existing staff, material handling equipment, and technology. “Our partnership with Fetch Robotics allows us to extend the automation opportunity for our customers across the wide range of workflows involved in material movements in the warehouse,” commented John Santagate, VP of robotics at Körber Supply Chain – software. “Fetch has a strong portfolio of mobile robots that, when combined with the extensive supply chain knowledge and commitment to innovation at Körber, creates an optimized approach to flexible automation.” The common projects will be sold and handled by the Körber Supply Chain’s robotics practice.
